A documentary library about what happens when artists don't know their own rights.

Art Vérité makes unscripted films for university art and law programs, galleries, and working artists — real cases where copyright, contracts, commissions, and estates either protected someone or failed to. I joined near the beginning and helped build the library into what it is now.

I produced most of the shoots: crews, budgets, schedules, locations, releases, delivery. On some films I directed. On others I shot, or ran sound. Working that close to every department is how I learned what a producer is actually asking for when they ask for it.

I produced the Carlos Rolón film, and produced and shot Uptown Mural. Both sit with artists alongside attorneys and estate specialists — conversations that only work if the room feels safe enough for someone to be honest about what went wrong.
