The Last Cut

Story Director Camera Editor Short Film

A love letter to my grandfather, made at the end of his working life.

My grandfather ran a small-town barbershop for six decades. When he decided to close it, I wanted to be there for his last customers — the last time his hands were on someone's head, doing the thing he'd done every day for sixty years.

That's where you find out what it actually looked like to build a life around making every customer feel like a celebrity. Not the big moments — just him, showing up for people, one haircut at a time, for sixty years straight.
